Don't let this gap widen

Why this program matters

  • Without this upskilling, your team accumulates a technological gap that translates directly into productivity loss.

  • Organizations that don't train their talents on key topics see their competitiveness drop.

  • Every quarter without training is a gap widening with competitors who invest.

  • The cost of inaction quickly exceeds that of well-targeted training.

Edge IoT Models training objectives

  • Master maintenance of models deployed at the IoT edge to detect drift without analyzing all raw signals.
  • Develop strategies for selective upload of uncertain cases to enrich the training dataset in the enterprise.
  • Design new version deployments with automatic fallback and gradual production rollout on embedded systems.
  • Implement joint versioning of model, firmware and preprocessing to ensure operational reproducibility.
  • Optimize measurement of real improvement delivered by each new version directly in the IoT field.
  • Configure data return pipelines adapted to latency, memory and energy constraints of edge devices.

Program

Edge IoT Models curriculum: 4 modules over 4 days

Module 1 : Drift detection on edge (MQTT, sensors, Raspberry Pi)

Analyze real-time IoT data streams to spot drift without memory overload. Hands-on exercises on Raspberry Pi with MQTT and sensors, building dynamic thresholds and anomaly detection. Industrial fleet case studies with optimized low-latency monitoring scripts.

Module 2 : Selective upload and data loop (LoRa, firmware)

Design intelligent filters to upload only uncertain cases to the cloud. Work on Arduino and LoRa to minimize bandwidth, integrate business rules and test on real scenarios. Deliverables include a lightweight data pipeline and filtering strategy documentation.

Module 3 : Gradual deployment and rollback (RTOS, FPGA)

Implement deployment strategies with automatic rollback on embedded systems. Practice OTA updates on RTOS and FPGA, manage firmware versions and test failover on failure. Home automation use cases with secure deployment scripts.

Module 4 : Versioning and impact measurement (Home Assistant, KNX)

Joint model-firmware-preprocessing versioning and field evaluation of real gains. Workshops on Raspberry Pi with Home Assistant and KNX, latency and energy metrics, before/after comparison. Final deliverables: performance dashboard and operational improvement report.

Edge IoT Models training: access and practical arrangements

The Training Edge IoT Models - Managing Drift and Updates program is delivered onsite or remote (blended-learning, virtual classroom, remote presence). At Learni, an industry-certified training organization, every program is built to maximize skills acquisition regardless of the chosen format.

The trainer alternates between demonstrative, interrogative and active methods (through hands-on labs and/or scenarios). This pedagogical approach guarantees concrete learning that's immediately applicable at work.

Equipment required

For the smooth delivery of the Training Edge IoT Models - Managing Drift and Updates program, the following equipment is required:

  • Mac or PC computers, high-speed fiber internet, whiteboard or flipchart, projector or interactive touch screen (for remote sessions)
  • Training environments installed on workstations or accessible online
  • Course materials, hands-on exercises and complementary resources
  • Post-training access to materials and educational resources

For intra-company training on a site outside Learni, the client commits to providing all required teaching materials (computers, internet, etc.) for the smooth delivery of the program in line with the prerequisites in the communicated program.

Skills assessment methods

Assessment of skills acquired during the Training Edge IoT Models - Managing Drift and Updates program is performed through:

  • During training: case studies, hands-on labs and professional scenarios
  • End of training: self-assessment questionnaire and skills evaluation by the trainer
  • After training: completion certificate detailing acquired skills

Program accessibility

Learni is committed to making its programs accessible. All our programs are accessible to people with disabilities. Our teams are available to adapt the pedagogical methods to your specific needs. Please contact us for any adjustment request.

Enrollment terms and lead times

Registration is possible up to 48 business hours before the start of training. All our programs are built for corporate L&D budgets and delivered onsite or remotely.

The Learni story

Founded by engineers and learning experts, Learni's mission is to make high-impact tech training accessible to teams everywhere. We work remotely with organizations across the US and Canada, in your time zone, to help teams upskill fast.

Our method

How Learni guarantees the quality of your Edge IoT Models training

Before, during, after: we frame the brief, introduce the trainer, tailor the content and measure impact. You stay in control from kickoff to wrap-up.

Step 1

Rigorous trainer selection

Each trainer is validated on three criteria: hands-on field expertise, proven pedagogy and alignment with your industry.

  • Triple validation: technical, pedagogical, sectoral.
  • Minimum rating 4.8/5 over the last 12 sessions.
Step 2

You meet the trainer beforehand

30-minute video call between you and the selected trainer to validate the fit, adjust content and clear any final doubts.

  • Live briefing on goals and team context.
  • Veto right — we swap the trainer for free if needed.
Step 3

Content tailored to your context

No recycled slides. The syllabus is reworked from your real cases: tools, constraints, vocabulary, ongoing projects.

  • Hands-on cases drawn from your stack and projects.
  • Program co-written then validated by your team.
Step 4

Continuous quality follow-up

Live evaluations, 30/90/180-day check-ins and a consolidation plan. If the impact misses the mark, we rework it.

  • NPS, knowledge quizzes and skills self-assessment.
  • Satisfaction guarantee: fully satisfied or free rework.

A simple promise: you don't pay to discover the trainer on day one. Everything is validated upfront, by you.

FAQ

Edge IoT Models: frequently asked questions

Which tools are used in Edge IoT Models training?+
Hands-on work runs on MQTT, sensors, raspberry Pi, loRa, firmware and RTOS. Those tools come from the Edge IoT Models program itself, delivered on site over 4 days, so participants practise on the stack they will use at work.
What can participants do after Edge IoT Models training?+
They can master maintenance of models deployed at the IoT edge to detect drift without analyzing all raw signals, develop strategies for selective upload of uncertain cases to enrich the training dataset in the enterprise and design new version deployments with automatic fallback and gradual production rollout on embedded systems. Those are the stated objectives of the Edge IoT Models program at Advanced level, checked by the end-of-session assessment.
What does the Edge IoT Models program cover, day by day?+
Day 1: Drift detection on edge (MQTT, sensors, Raspberry Pi). Day 2: Selective upload and data loop (LoRa, firmware). Day 3: Gradual deployment and rollback (RTOS, FPGA). Day 4: Versioning and impact measurement (Home Assistant, KNX). The Edge IoT Models program runs over 4 days, delivered on site.
How is Edge IoT Models training assessed?+
Assessment relies on daily validation quizzes on edge concepts, capstone IoT model maintenance project and final presentation and code review with the trainer. Learni issues a completion certificate together with the individual assessment report at the end of the Edge IoT Models program, which an L&D team can file as evidence.
How much does Edge IoT Models training cost per participant?+
Edge IoT Models training costs $4,620 per participant. For an in-company team, the flat rate starts at $7,865 for the whole group, up to 8 people. The detailed quote, sent within one business day, adjusts the amount to the format and how far the syllabus is tailored to your team.
How long does Edge IoT Models training take?+
4 days, available live online (US time zones) or on-site at your offices. Half-day tracks spread over several weeks are possible so the team stays operational.
Who pays for Edge IoT Models training?+
Most US teams pay directly through their company L&D or training budget. Learni invoices in US dollars and accepts bank transfer (ACH/wire) or card, with volume pricing for teams. A purchase order is welcome.
What do participants need to know before Edge IoT Models training?+
Experience deploying models on Raspberry Pi or microcontrollers, mastery of RTOS, firmware and MQTT, solid foundations in Python and C.
Is a certificate issued after Edge IoT Models training?+
