Creation of a first simple REST API. Unit tests and understanding of the ServiceStack request pipeline. Practical exercises.
Validation and error management. Configuring middlewares and lifecycle hooks. Introduction to authentication: Auth Providers, user session management, security configuration. Applying best practices for writing testable, maintainable, and scalable services. Exercises implementing secure services.
Using Redis Cache, persistence management (supported ORMs, database configuration with OrmLite), useful plugins (OpenAPI/Swagger, validation, CORS, logs). Managing serialization formats (JSON, XML, CSV, protobuf). Automating tests and deployments, monitoring, and scaling scenarios. Experience feedback, code review of ServiceStack APIs, advice for production rollout, migration management, and post-deployment support.
