Module 1Introduction to zkSync & Layer 2 Challenges
Overview of scalability issues on Ethereum and existing solutions (Sidechains, Plasma, Rollups). Presentation of zero-knowledge rollup and the origins of zkSync, technical advantages: cost, speed, security. High-level architecture of the protocol, overview of actors (users, operators, validators, developers). Deployment and configuration of zkSync-compatible wallets.
Module 2Development on zkSync: Smart Contracts & dApps
Presentation of development tools (SDK, APIs, hardhat-zksync, bridges). Creation of zkSync-compatible smart contracts, differences and key considerations compared to Ethereum. Practical exercises: deployment scripts, transfer management, fee mechanisms on zkSync, integration with existing dApps. Handling testnet/mainnet environments, environment management, and monitoring.
Module 3Security, Optimization & Concrete Use Cases
Best security practices and auditing on zkSync. Scalability: analyze and optimize transaction costs, batch processing, read/write in the global state. Interfacing with the L1/L2 bridge. Real-world integration examples: NFTs on zkSync, marketplaces, fast payments, gaming. zkSync future roadmap (expected features, V2, EVM compatibility). Practical workshops: deploy a complete project, design an integration strategy, advanced troubleshooting.
