Module 2Retry and TimeLimiter in Resilience4j: Managing Transient Errors (backoff strategies, adaptive timeouts)
Dive into the Retry pattern with custom configurations (exponential, jitter), implementation via @Retry on Spring methods, combination with TimeLimiter to avoid infinite blocks, hands-on workshops on real enterprise cases like payments or notifications, simulation of intermittent network errors, development of a hybrid Retry+TimeLimiter component, production of performance reports and optimization of thresholds to minimize latencies, directly strengthening the robustness of your microservices.
Module 3RateLimiter and Bulkhead in Resilience4j: Flow Control and Isolation (token bucket, semaphores)
Configuration of RateLimiter for precise throttling of incoming requests, use of Bulkhead to isolate critical threads and prevent overloads, integration into a Spring WebFlux or MVC ecosystem, hands-on exercises on e-commerce traffic spike scenarios, adjustment of permissions and fallback queues, creation of a simple dashboard with Resilience4j metrics, load tests with JMeter to validate limits, deliverable: service protected against internal DDoS and optimized for horizontal scalability.
Module 4Advanced Resilience4j Integration: Monitoring and Best Practices (Micrometer, Prometheus, red thread project)
Coupling Resilience4j with Micrometer to export metrics to Prometheus/Grafana, customization of events and proactive alerts, review of enterprise best practices (custom fallbacks, pattern chaining), completion of the red thread project: fully resilient microservice deployable in Kubernetes, collective code review and final optimization, preparation for skills certification, delivery of practical materials and roadmap for CI/CD integration, ensuring a production-ready application right from the start.
