Module 1Theme: Audit and mapping of MCP server security (standards, tools, deliverables)
Perform a complete audit of the MCP server using tools such as Lynis and Nmap, map exposed services, identify critical ports, and analyze default configurations. Participants produce a risk matrix and an initial compliance report including ISO 27001 gaps. Practical exercises on remote virtual machines.
Module 2Theme: Hardening and strengthening MCP server security (firewall, SELinux, encryption)
Implement the nftables firewall, enable SELinux in enforcing mode, configure LUKS disk encryption, and restricted SSH keys. Build progressively on the previous day's audit to lock down MCP services. Deliverable: automated hardening script and validation checklist.
Module 3Theme: Monitoring and incident response for MCP server security (OSSEC, logs, compliance)
Deploy OSSEC for real-time detection, centralize logs with rsyslog, set up Grafana dashboards, and develop the incident response plan. Integrate results from previous days into a final compliance report. Deliverable: incident playbook and complete report.
