Analysis of the TrustZone hardware architecture and positioning of OP-TEE in the system. Set up the build environment, compile the bootloader and secure kernel, and run initial tests on virtual then real targets. Memory partitioning exercises and observation of calls between normal and secure worlds.

Module 2Trusted Application Development (TA and CA Client)

Create a Trusted Application and its REE-side client. Use OP-TEE APIs for data exchange, session management, and error handling. Practical case of signing sensitive data with unit tests and validation of flows between the two worlds.

Module 3Secure Storage and Key Management (Secure Storage, TA Key)

Implement encrypted persistent storage in the trusted environment. Generate, import, and use keys without ever exposing them to the normal world. Key rotation exercises and protection against reset or power-loss attacks.

Module 4Attestation and Firmware Update (Attestation, Secure OTA)

Implement environment attestation and integrity verification. Build complete images with Yocto, deploy to target, and perform updates including the secure part. Power-loss recovery tests and chain-of-trust validation.

Module 5Protection Scope Evaluation and Limitations (Audit, Threat Model)
