Module 1REST Fundamentals and Getting Started with Jersey
Introduction to REST architectures, principles of modern web services, overview of Java frameworks, presentation of Jersey, and environment installation (Maven/Gradle, application server). Creation of a minimal project and discovery of a simple REST API.
Module 2Building Complete REST APIs with Jersey
Resource management, paths (advanced routing), HTTP methods, parameter management (Query, Path), entity mapping JSON/XML with Jackson and JAXB. Implementation of best practices for structuring, validation, pagination, and custom error handling. Introduction to Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation.
Module 3Security, Optimization, and Production Deployment
Implementation of security (authentication/authorization, token management, CORS), performance (caching, logging, monitoring), dependency management with injection (HK2), unit and integration tests with JUnit/Mocha, deployment, monitoring (Metrics), and best practices for production.
