Vibration Analysis training objectives

  • Master vibration analysis by distinguishing measured quantities, sensors and measurement points for reliable diagnostics in the workplace.
  • Differentiate between displacement, velocity and acceleration to identify the defect revealed by each quantity.
  • Select appropriate measurement points and directions on a rotating machine.
  • Mount a sensor without altering the useful frequency response for accurate readings.
  • Record a comparable overall value from one campaign to the next under real conditions.
  • Establish a healthy machine reference before any operational monitoring.

Program

Vibration Analysis curriculum: 3 modules over 3 days

Module 1 : Vibration quantities and sensors (accelerometers, velocity sensors)

Participants explore vibration quantities on real rotating machines with introduced defects. They handle accelerometers and velocity sensors, learn to distinguish displacement, velocity and acceleration. Exercises compare signals to link each quantity to a defect type. Practical cases help select suitable sensors and understand mounting methods.

Module 2 : Measurement points and directions (real machines)

The day focuses on selecting measurement points and directions. Learners install sensors on equipment showing imbalance, misalignment or degraded bearings. They take readings and compare results with disassembly. Emphasis is placed on measurement reproducibility and creation of healthy references.

Module 3 : Monitoring campaigns and healthy machine reference

Participants conduct a complete vibration measurement campaign. They record comparable overall values, mount sensors correctly and create the first healthy machine reference. Each diagnosis is validated by an independent measurement. The training highlights the importance of this initial reference for future monitoring.

How Vibration Analysis skills are assessed

  • Practical exercises on real machines with diagnostics verified by disassembly
  • Reproducible and comparable measurement records
  • Creation of a validated healthy machine reference

How the Vibration Analysis course is taught

  • Practical exercises on rotating equipment with real defects
  • Sensor selection and mounting under operational conditions
  • Analysis of quantities and signal interpretation
  • Development of a complete monitoring campaign

Our method

How Learni guarantees the quality of your Vibration Analysis training

Before, during, after: we frame the brief, introduce the trainer, tailor the content and measure impact. You stay in control from kickoff to wrap-up.

Step 1

Rigorous trainer selection

Each trainer is validated on three criteria: hands-on field expertise, proven pedagogy and alignment with your industry.

  • Triple validation: technical, pedagogical, sectoral.
  • Minimum rating 4.8/5 over the last 12 sessions.
Step 2

You meet the trainer beforehand

30-minute video call between you and the selected trainer to validate the fit, adjust content and clear any final doubts.

  • Live briefing on goals and team context.
  • Veto right — we swap the trainer for free if needed.
Step 3

Content tailored to your context

No recycled slides. The syllabus is reworked from your real cases: tools, constraints, vocabulary, ongoing projects.

  • Hands-on cases drawn from your stack and projects.
  • Program co-written then validated by your team.
Step 4

Continuous quality follow-up

Live evaluations, 30/90/180-day check-ins and a consolidation plan. If the impact misses the mark, we rework it.

  • NPS, knowledge quizzes and skills self-assessment.
  • Satisfaction guarantee: fully satisfied or free rework.

A simple promise: you don't pay to discover the trainer on day one. Everything is validated upfront, by you.
