Definition of the Data Protection Officer role, designation, independence, integration with management and business units, internal and external point of contact, mandatory and additional missions. Case studies on appointment and mission statement for the DPO.
Module 3Compliance and Governance of Personal Data
Mapping of processing activities, conducting data protection impact assessments (DPIA), documenting processing activities, maintaining the processing register, managing processors. Building a compliance plan, staff awareness, internal policies, organizing relations with the CNIL.
Module 4Operational Management of Rights, Audits, and Crisis Management
Procedures for exercising individuals' rights (access, rectification, erasure, etc.), managing data breach notifications, preparing for and conducting internal audits/CNIL inspections, techniques for responding to data leaks or GDPR crises, hot and cold communication.
Module 5Advanced Case Study, Regulatory Monitoring, and Professional Integration
Practical workshop: Full management of a DPO mission in a fictional organization, drafting reports for management, handling regulatory monitoring, maintaining expertise, resources and DPO community, sharing experiences, action plans, and lessons learned.
