Module 1Introduction to LTI: Foundations and Challenges
Context of LTI standardization (Learning Tools Interoperability) by IMS Global, history, versions (LTI 1.1, 1.3, Advantage). Identify use cases: LMS extensions, integration of interactive exercises, whiteboards, assessment tools, etc. Detection of business and pedagogical challenges related to interoperability.
Module 2Configuring LTI on the LMS Side
Settings on main platforms (Moodle, Canvas, Blackboard, etc.) as an LTI consumer (LTI Tool Consumer): add/remove a tool, manage registration information (URL, key, secret), access rights, security options. Practical case: LTI configuration on a test instance.
Module 3Creating and Managing an LTI-Compatible Educational Tool
Overview of the architecture of an LTI provider tool (LTI Tool Provider). Technical details: messages, authentication (OAuth 1, OAuth 2, JWT), transmitted roles. Setting up an open source/library-compatible LTI tool (e.g., interactive exercise tool). Full LMS ↔ tool integration test. Troubleshooting common issues, data flow control, security, error management. Best practices for maintenance and evolution.

The Training: Mastering LTI Integration: Connecting Educational Tools and Platforms program is delivered onsite or remote (blended-learning, e-learning, virtual classroom, remote presence).
