Principles of identity and access management in AWS. Presentation of the AWS security model. Discovery of the IAM service: terminology, architecture, and main components. Creation of a test account for hands-on practice.
Module 2Managing Users, Groups, and Policies
Steps to create and manage IAM users. Setting up user groups and collective permissions. Creating IAM policies in JSON: structure, conditions, and limits. Practical case: deploying an RBAC model on AWS.
Module 3IAM Roles, Identity Federation, and Advanced Security
Creation and management of IAM roles for AWS services and applications. Using roles for delegation and multi-service management (EC2, Lambda, S3, etc.). Introduction to identity federation and SSO access. Advanced security: MFA, key rotation, monitoring and controlling IAM activities with CloudTrail. IAM audits and diagnostics: understanding and correcting authorization errors.
