Overview of the challenges involved in consuming REST APIs in .NET. Introduction to the type-safe HTTP client paradigm, presentation of Refit and its alternatives, installation, basic configuration, and setup of a simple project using Refit for GET/POST requests.
Module 2Mastering Refit's Advanced Features
Using attributes to define routes and parameters. Advanced management of JSON/XML serialization and deserialization. Error handling and exception management in Refit. Configuring handlers for authentication, adding headers, and managing OAuth tokens. Unit testing and mocking Refit interfaces with Moq/NSubstitute.
Module 3Integration, Security, and Production Deployment
Integrating Refit into larger architectures: ASP.NET applications, Xamarin, Blazor, Dockerized microservices. Resilience patterns: Retry, Polly, response time management.
