Module 1Introduction and OpenHAB Installation
Overview of open source home automation, presentation of OpenHAB and its uses. Installation on different environments. Discovery of the PaperUI interface, initial configuration, user account management, discovery of the Marketplace.
Module 2Device and Protocol Integration
Adding and configuring devices via different protocols (Z-Wave, Zigbee, MQTT, WiFi, KNX, EnOcean...). Installing bindings, communication management, inclusion/exclusion of devices, management of objects and groups.
Module 3Advanced Automation, User Interfaces & Security
Writing rules and scripts to automate scenarios, time management, complex interactions. Creating and customizing Sitemaps and visual interfaces (HabPanel, Basic UI, MainUI Pages). Backups, network security, remote access, updates, and maintenance.

Methods, materials and delivery
The Training OpenHAB: Mastering Open Source Home Automation – Control Your Smart Home program is delivered onsite or remote (blended-learning, e-learning, virtual classroom, remote presence).
