Module 1UX strategy and business alignment for complex digital products

UX strategy: definition, scope and positioning within the product organisation. Strategic frameworks: Jobs-to-be-Done (JTBD), Outcome-Driven Innovation (ODI), Kano model. UX maturity audit: assessing design's place in the organisation and identifying levers. UX-business alignment: design OKRs, contribution to conversion, retention and NPS goals. Product ecosystem mapping: actors map, service blueprint, value proposition canvas. Workshop: strategic UX diagnosis of a product brought by a participant.

Module 2information architecture and complex flow design

Information Architecture (IA): card sorting, tree testing, taxonomy, labelling. Navigation for complex products: multi-level, contextual and adaptive navigation patterns. Task flows and user flows: modelling critical journeys, funnel optimisation. Managing complexity: progressive disclosure, wizard patterns, dashboards, roles and permissions. Advanced accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA): designing inclusive interfaces by default. Workshop: restructuring the information architecture of a B2B SaaS product.

Module 3design sprint and product problem solving

Adapted Design Sprint: 1-day methodology (condensed Jake Knapp). Understand phase: problem mapping, How Might We, dot voting. Sketch phase: crazy 8s, solution sketch, winning solution storyboard. Prototype phase: rapid high-fidelity prototype on Figma (3 hours timed). Test phase: 4 moderated usability tests with real recruited users. Synthesis: insights, go/no-go decision, next steps.

Module 4UX measurement, design roadmap and leadership

UX KPIs: NPS, SUS (System Usability Scale), CSAT, task success rate, time-on-task, error rate. Setting up a continuous UX measurement programme: analytics, surveys, recurring tests. Measurement tools: Hotjar, FullStory, Maze, Amplitude, Mixpanel for UX metrics. UX roadmap: prioritisation (RICE, impact mapping), integration with the product roadmap. Presenting design to stakeholders: storytelling, UX business case, design ROI. Presentation of the complete UX strategy to the expert panel.
