The Training: Louis Aragon: From Poetry to Political Engagement, Understanding a Major Work training is delivered in-person or remotely (blended-learning, e-learning, virtual classroom, remote in-person). Study of Aragon's late works: Le Fou d’Elsa, Les Adieux, Églogue de la jeunesse. Modernity of poetic form, treatment of 20th-century themes, political heritage. Critical re-reading of Aragon in contemporary France. Comparison with other engaged 20th-century poets.
Collective analysis workshop on texts chosen by participants. Methodological advice for reading and presenting work on Aragon.
