The Training: Mastering AWS CloudFormation: Automating Cloud Infrastructure training is delivered in-person or remotely (blended-learning, e-learning, virtual classroom, remote in-person). Presentation of AWS CloudFormation: use cases, benefits, limitations. Overview of infrastructure as code on AWS. Explanation of a stack's lifecycle. Discovery of the template and its components: resources, parameters, mappings, outputs, conditions.
Hands-on workshop: writing simple templates to provision EC2/S3/VPC. Differences between YAML and JSON for AWS CloudFormation. Use of intrinsic functions (Ref, Fn::GetAtt, Fn::If, etc.). Managing variables, parameters, outputs, and dependencies. Modularization with nested stacks and template reusability. Automating deployment with CLI and AWS Management Console.
Update and rollback strategies. Security management (IAM, secrets, tagging, drift detection). Best practices for versioning and change tracking. Designing resilient and scalable architectures. Integration with other DevOps tools (CodePipeline, Ansible, Terraform). Final workshop: setting up a complete infrastructure with monitoring, logs, scaling, and security policies.
